OLD SKOOL

LEAVE A LIGHT ON

Take my hand
Tell me what you are feeling
Understand
This is just the beginning
Although I have to go
It makes me feel like crying
I dont know when Ill see you again

Darling leave a light on for me
Ill be there before you close the door
To give you all the love that you need

Darling leave a light on for me
cause when the world takes me away
You are still the air that I breathe

I cant explain I just dont know
Just how far
I have to go
But darling Ill keep the key
Just leave a light on for me

Yes I know
What Im asking is crazy
You could go
Just get tired of waiting
But if I lose your love
Torn out by my desire
That would be the one regret of my life
Just like a spark lights up the dark
Baby thats your heart

SUMMER RAIN

Whispering our goodbyes
Waiting for a train
I was dancing with my baby In the summer rain
I can hear him saying
Nothing will change
Come dancing with me baby In the summer rain
I remember the rain on our skin
And his kisses hotter than the Santa ana winds

Whispering our goodbyes
Waiting for a train
I was dancing with my baby
In the summer rain

I remember laughing til we almost cried (there at station that night)
I remember looking in his eyes

Oh my love, its you and that I dream of
Oh my love, since that day
Somewhere in my heart Im always
Dancing with you in the summer rain
Doesnt matter what I do now
Doesnt matter what I say
Somewhere in my heart Im always
Dancing with you in the summer rain

I can hear the whistle Military train
I was dancing with my baby In the summer rain
I can hear him singing
Ooh love is strange
Come dance with me baby In the summer rain
I remember the rain pouring down
And we poured our hearts out
As the train pulled out
I can see my baby
Waving from the train
It was last time that I saw him In the summer rain

Every time I see the lightening
Every time I hear the thunder
Every time I close the window
When this happens in the summer
Oh the night is so inviting
I can feel that you are so close
I can feel you when the wind blows
Blows right through my heart

Every night and every day now
Though I know youve gone away
Somewhere in my heart Im always
Dancing with you in the summer rain

I love these 2 songs... and many more of hers... La Luna, Circle in the sand, Vision of you, Runaway Horses, Heaven is a Place on Earth.... you can find out more here.

These songs cud really take me back to the time when I was in school, wearing pinafore... really miss those times... Other than Belinda, my favourites includes Debbie Gibson's Electric Youth, Paula Abdul's Cold Hearted Snake and Straight up, almost all Mariah Carey's songs... some of NKOTB, BROS, Mr Big, Color Me bad, Martika, Sinead O'Connor, Rick Ashey, Kyle and Jason Donovan... I really thot they were gonna be together...

Listening to these songs too, reminds me of UMBRO skool bags. garfield bags. Reebok and L.A gear shoes, Sweet Dreams novel series, sweat shirts, baggy pants, Beverly Hills 90210, Smash Hits magazines, school canteen's mee rebus, the karipap plus kuah cicah at the pak guard's house, my uncle bus, my class rooms and my all girls school...

QUEEN OF HEARTS

Happy Mother's Day to all mothers....

To my Mom, Mama min, Mama Dah, Mak mertoa tiri ku yang kami panggil Bonda, my "mom" frens...Maria, Hajah Pnut, Nadia, Girl, Ann, Reena, Rina, Emi, Ainon and mummy to-be... Shida and Afida... Happy Mother's Day!

Selalu lah doa kan aku pun dapat celebrate mother's day... huhuhu...

Y'day me and family celebrated mother's day at Bora Asmara. Whole family except Girl and Jay kat Melbourne, plus Ray, Enrad (tunang Dian) and Gadafi (bf Ameen) had dinner there. We had a reservation at 9pm. Tapi 8.30 ramai tak siap lagi. So Ameen and Gadap pergi dulu. Reached there around 9:40. Ramainyer orang, pening kepala. Ingat nak duduk kat gazebo2 yang ada curtains and cussions tu tapi dah ada orang reserved. Last2 duduk kat dalam area yang ada aircond. It was too crowded and noisy. Kids were screaming while the adults were talking and laughing... We cud not concentrate looking at the menu..

Then, the waitress told us that ala carte meals might take 1 hour to prepare pasal ramai orang. Only western foods jer cepat.... sigh... I wanted to have the tom yam... So, I settledfor spaghetti marinara... I followed Dian and Enrad to the washroom. Enrad then meet the manager and asked whether there were any gazebo available. Later, the manager told us that we cud take the gazebo reserved by somebodey earlier coz he didnt turned up passed 15min from the reservation time.

It was about time! Coz the room was getting louder... the gazebo was much fun. We had a great time, talking and joking around while having dinner and sit back kekenyangan sambil minum hot choc....

Looking at mom's face, so full of joy. Dad pun.. Having their children sitting together, with spouse and spouse to-be, having dinner... Thanks mom, for being there for all of us, bukan senang nak brought up 6 orang anak yang berlainan character and personalities... Ingat lagi masa skolah rendah, my frens semua kata I had a beautiful mom... I still remember when she was much younger and energetic,.. went jogging with me, went to saloon to do our hair when i was 12, sent me to me to music classes, tutions, mengaji, when to buy barang kemas at chow kit.( masa tu rasa boring betul)... Take care of me when I was sick, I was sick a lot of times.. taught me how to be a woman, how to dress, how to cook,... yes sometimes she was being quite hard on me... I hated it that time... but now I know that she wanted the best for me, for my own good. Mengalir air mata tulis pasal ni... I was the eldest, I was the hopes and dreams of hers... I can't imagine my hopes and dreams kalau I have a child of my own nanti...

Mom, sorry if I ever hurt your feelings by being outspoken during my rebelious time, for being naughty and make you worried. I can't ever imagine my life without you. I hope to have more happy moments with you and my future children. I love you mom!

BREATHING FROM A NEW NEST...

I've been busy lately and still am.. I just moved to a place I called my own home now. Walking distance from my mom's and definitely not a new house.

The house is actually in a good location, but not so good condition. Ray and me decided to remove all wooden parquet on the 1st floor and the tiles on the living room. And it was not easy to make decisions... on new tiles, the stairs, the gate( yang lama dah nak tumbang) then the floor at the porch was not level... that has to be done too..

Then I've to decide on the pebbles for the porch. lightings indoor and outdoor. Urghhhh... it was stressful back and forth to the suppliers, hardware shop... decide on the colours of the wall... I was not happy with the workmanship... rasa nak cat sendiri aje..

Suddeny Ray nak buat plaster ceiling pulak... decisions lagi... furniture? appliances?..
We had some arguments on the interior concept, at first Ray wanted all white. then he changed to glass and stainless steel.

But we managed, to compromise...and some decisions been made. We moved in last Friday. It was so hectic coz that was the day the furniture was delivered, air-cond installed, my in-laws arrived from Perak.... Fuuh...

The works on the porch and gate was not done yet. Some of the rooms has no light. But we all managed to sleep in and cook the very next day... It was tiring but it's all worth it. To have a place you call your own, having your family, in-laws sitting and eating together helping you out, setting your house.

While I was writing this post, the electrician is fixing the new ceiling fan and lights in the room, Wak Mastor is doing the pebbles on the porch... Ray is having teh tarik with his siblings...

Couldn't wait to have it all done...

EYES ON KL...

Last March I had a cousin came and visit from Johor Bahru. So, Dian and me took him to see few places. Ingat nak bawak gi tengok Tugu Negara, bangunan parlimen... hihihi... Because I remember looking at photos of my grandpa, aunties and uncles from kampung yang pergi KL by rombongan in the 80's. Those were the 'must go' places.

View from the elevated highway, heading to KLCC

Imitating the "sign" above right

Sepetang di mini central park KLCC...

Boy ni was really into music and band. He has his own band back in JB. He's playing the Bass guitar.  We took him for a dinner at HRC and watched the live band which was from Indonesia... not bad actually... Teringat masa dulu-dulu... huhu..

Gambar ni mesti dia letak kt "my space" dia....

Passed by China Town....

This was actually a day earlier when we went to Pudu to buy bus ticket for Boy. Avoiding the traffic, we took LRT from Wangsa Maju... At Pasar Seni, somethings caught my attention...
